about me
jellystone robinson (he/they) is a black trans-agender lesbian from the Ida B. Wells Extensions on the South Side of Chicago. In his creative practice, he is attempting to retrieve ancestral memory and self actualization through due diligence, time travel, self expression, love and pleasure.
jellystone has held many roles including but not limited to both the Chicago and National Youth Poet Laureateship, teaching artist, Mutual Aid Coordinator at the Youth Empowerment Performance Project and Project Manager at Sisters in Cinema. He is a Davis-Putter Scholar, YoungArts and Assata's Daughters Alum and they hold a bachelor's degree in Film and TV from Columbia College Chicago.
jellystone currently works as the Production Coordinator and Creative Assisant at Endangered Peace Productions and as an Oral Historian with the National Public Housing Museum.
